Bebo's in Puerto Rico

As you may well know, I have no problem trying new foods or eating in places that may not look like much from the outside. While in Puerto Rico, we were driving past this place and there were tons of people waiting in line and no one spoke English. So, I knew this was a local spot that I wasn't going to find on a website or in a guide book. I was with two of my cousins and since they were willing, we all went and ordered. We ordered chicken, some type of potatoes with onions and rice. This meal was so good, we were all very happy that we stopped here. It wasn't the cleanest place (can you see my Wet Ones in the pic?) but that's ok, most restaurants outside of the U.S. don't have a grading system so you can't really focus on that when you travel or else you might never eat.
TRAVEL TIP: Always carry some form of wipes in your purse. I always have a pack with me when I travel because you will always need them. This table was dirty and so were our seats but not for long. I get mine at Target in the travel section, I never pay more than a dollar for a pack.
I stumbled across this place because I always have my eyes open looking for something that only the locals know about. To me, that's one of the joys of traveling, trying to get a sense of the culture of wherever I am in order to be able to see life outside of the tourist destination. If you feel comfortable, you can drive through neighborhoods and come across local hangouts. They probably won't speak your language but I think that is part of the fun!
