Then, as I kept walking, there was a guy selling fruit and vegetables. And everything looked really good!
TRAVEL TIP If you are going to travel on the Metro and you will be taking multiple trips, you can buy a book of ten (carnet de dix) which is a bit cheaper and saves you from having to buy a ticket each time you ride. You can also buy a reduced fare pack if you have anyone that meets the age requirement (I think it's younger than 13 but don't quote me on that).
Where you live do they have lots of different things going on in the Metro?
Haha, where I live they do have things going on in the Metro...and you've just captured it so accurately on your camera. I am so caught up in my busy life that I do not pay attention anymore. It's good to revisit one's own city through someone else's eyes. You then star to appreciate and actually see all those things that you take for granted...
ReplyDeleteThe metro here in Caracas isn't as interesting, but it is very clean. The added benefit you get from riding is the musicians. They usually choose a car and sing/play music for a few stops before passing around a hat to collect donations. They are all actually pretty good.
ReplyDeleteIn Paris they also have the musicians in the Metro but unfortunately it is normally someone with not much talent and it ends up being more of an annoyance than enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteThanks anonymous for the compliment! I do the same thing when I go to my hometown, I don't pay attention to the things that tourists love.
Thanks for posting, I appreciate it!!!
